The Board of Trustees for Richmond Memorial Health Foundation (RMHF) today announced more than $1.6 million in grants to nonprofits in the Richmond Region. The awards include applicants for the Fall 2017 Request for Proposals related to collaboration on health equity, access to health care grants, and funding in support of RMHF’s movement into the affordable housing field. Collaboration, Community and Peer Learning to Promote Health Equity Seven collaborative teams that submitted applications for RMHF’s Fall 2017 Request for Proposals will receive funding for projects that support the grant cycle’s three goals:

  1. Develop and/or nurture multi-entity, cross-sector collaboration that meaningfully
    includes community members while working on a team-identified project that
    promotes health equity;
  2. Advance and increase health equity (with an intersectional approach that acknowledges
    race and racism) in all team members and their respective organizations; and
  3. Inform RMHF’s active learning in regard to effective grantmaking through a health
    equity lens.
