Earlier this year, RMHF announced three new rounds of Community Healing grants to support local organizations working to address community violence and healing in the Richmond area. As part of that announcement, RMHF shared that applications would be accepted on a rolling basis until all available funds had been awarded. Because of significant interest and the great work being done by nonprofits and organizations across the region, we have expended all available funds. Should more funding be allocated to support additional grant opportunities, we will communicate that information in the RMHF newsletter. Sign up here.
The grant applications we received have been truly inspiring to see. The overwhelming response in the first and second rounds has resulted in significant awards going to support a wide variety of community-focused organizations and initiatives.
The following organizations have been awarded grants during the most recent round:
- Art on Wheels, in collaboration with, Fonticello Food Forest, Drums No Guns, Project Yoga Richmond, Youth Outdoor Workshops
- Central Virginia Legal Aid Society, in collaboration with, Hanover Safe Place, YWCA of Richmond
- ChildSavers
- Greater Richmond SCAN
- Institute for Public Health Innovation (fiscal sponsor for Drums No Guns), in collaboration with, Generative Futures, BareSOUL Yoga, Urban Trauma, LLC, Happily Natural Day
- Next Up, in collaboration with, City of Richmond
- Safe Harbor
Congratulations to our partners. We are pleased that we are able to help support their transformative work.
RMHF staff and board are committed to reducing violence, increasing community healing efforts, and building a more equitable, healthier region and we look forward to continuing to uplift our community partners.
