RMHF Names New Program & Strategy Officer

October 24, 2023

We are excited to announce that Natisha Knight has joined Richmond Memorial Health Foundation (RMHF) as a Program & Strategy Officer. In her role, Natisha will oversee RMHF programming, with a focus on strategic engagement to ensure programs are meeting the needs of Richmond Region residents.

“I know Natisha will put her years of experience to work for RMHF, the organizations we support, and the communities we serve,” said RMHF President & CEO Reggie Gordon. “As we continue to expand, I’m proud to have someone with Natisha’s passion, dedication and expertise on the team.”

Prior to her role at RMHF, Natisha’s career spanned a variety of focus areas, including public education and nonprofit leadership roles, where she championed equity-focused solutions and strategic management. Most recently, Natisha Knight served as the Vice President of Community Engagement and Advocacy for Virginia Health Catalyst.

“Natisha brings a depth of diverse experiences to this role, all focused on increasing equitable access to resources and serving communities that have been historically marginalized and overlooked,” said Courtney Rice, RMHF Chief of Strategy & Impact. “Her unique professional background and her own personal story make Natisha such a perfect fit for this position.”

I got into this line of work because I grew up seeing and experiencing so much inequity, and I realized I wanted to be a catalyst for change,” Natisha said. “This drive has only increased since having my daughter. I want to have a positive impact in the community to ensure that she and other children that look like her do not encounter the same negative experiences that I did; the kind of experiences that are so often the result of systemic racism.”

Natisha is deeply involved in her community outside of work as well, volunteering and serving on nonprofit boards. This includes Collective 365, a membership-based group of community-conscious individuals who contribute their resources to provide investments in Black and Brown communities.

Natisha holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master of Teaching degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. Natisha is a graduate of Leadership Metro Richmond and was named one of Style Weekly’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2018.

Natisha enjoys spending time with her daughter, Naysa, traveling, and reading.

We are excited for Natisha to bring her background, experience, and dedication to this role and to the team here at RMHF. Her focus on community-driven results and equity-based solutions will be vital as we continue to grow our programs and think strategically about next steps.
